I don't want to be at work! Who wants to be at work? Here's some links to help lighten the load:
If you don't already know about it you really should check out the Internet Archive. You could watch old cartoons, download ebooks, and hear various audio (among other things)--all for free! Because it is non-commercial there are certain restrictions to what you can view, read, or listen to: but that only makes things more interesting.
Since I sit at a desk for most of my workday I listen to a lot of stuff on the Internet Archive. Here are some of my discoveries and recommendations:
The Smashing Pumpkins "album" (never commercially released): Machina II.
Crap From the Past--a radio show hosted by Ron "Boogiemonster" Gerber. He plays pop music mostly from the '70s and '80s, a lot of it obscure and out of the way.
Psychedelicatessen--a radio show showcasing a lot of rock/psychedelic music from the '60s and '70s.
Some music from Al Jolson.
A few Grateful Dead live recordings.
And some Old Time Radio shows.
