Now it's time again for the Friday links (oh, right...I've never had a links posting before...):
I've often had to explain to horrified people why I think the United Nations is crap. It seems we have some idealized notion about that organization. Well, here's yet another reason they are less than ideal: Commission on Status of Women
How Capitalism eats its critics .
A more libertarian approach to immigration reform .
Do you ever suppose that some environmentalists care more about being sanctimonious than they do about the Earth ?
Is George W. Bush our worst president? Many would say so but their opinions seem a bit too biased and too close to the actual events and policies they deplore. And, of course, a lot depends on your criteria. Luckily for Bush though, his reputation has nowhere to go but up!
Hugo Chavez is now on Twitter and would like Fidel Castro to get on too! I wonder what Goebbels or Stalin would've done with Twitter?
Don't Republicans realize how much the new Arizona immigration law can hurt them politically? Maybe they'll self-implode and we'll finally have some new blood in Washington, D.C. (One can dream).
Many people don't realize just how tough it is to make a great roast chicken--much less a perfect roast chicken.
Some thoughts on the Democrat immigration plan. I'm still shocked that they even have a plan!
And finally, people will find the silliest reasons to discriminate against each other.
[*With many special thanks to Marginal Revolution from whom I stole many of these links!]
